The mission was clear: Tie the fly that you use when all else fails, to save yourself from the dreaded blank. It was the first swap which Denis Goulding from Ireland announced an the VFB-list. 'Which fly pulls big trout out of the banks?' - this question named the swap - bankers swap.

My son asked my if I would help him to participate on the swap. So this was our first 'father-and-son'-Swap. We enjoyed very much the collective tying evenings for this swap.

We came out with a really huge and nice group of tyers from North America and Europe.
