Pattern

Hook: Mustad 94842 (turned-up eye) or Tiemco 100 or 101 (ringed eye), or comparable, #26-#18 (20 used here)
Thread: Danville’s 6/0 black or Uni-thread 8/0 black
Shuck: Four or five tan mallard flank feather fibers, feathers length of entire hook
Body: Fine black dubbing such as Frog Dubbing, dubbed very thin.
Wing: Plastic strip (use the section at the top that looks like a waffle press) Trim length even with the end of the hook
Hackle: Black rooster hackle
