Variegated MidgeLarvae Tying instructions

1) Tie on base of thread and then tie in 2 olive and 1 red strand of marabou (I tie in by the tips for more strength then trim the fly at the end) and then 1 or 2 strands of clear Antron ( I get this from Greycliff Publishing Company )
2) Bring thread back up to one and a half eye lengths behind eye. Tie in short stub of white antron yarn sticking over front of eye for breathing filaments. I tie a wrap or two of thread in front of this stub to stand it up a little bit then return the thread to behind antron yarn
3) twist marabou strands and clear Antron together to form a "chenille". Wrap the "chenille" forward to waiting thread and tie off. Whip finish in front of breathing filaments.
4) Trim the body as desired or leave as is. I like to taper it down slightly to the back.
