Tying instructions 1.Wrap thread to bend. 2.Tie in tail 3.Tie in white kiptail 4.Tie in hackle 5.Tie on 3 strands of peacock herl. 6.Wrap thread to front, leaving plenty of room for back to be pulled over top and tied in (don’t crowd the eye!!) 7.Twist peacock herl and then wrap strands forward, tie off and cut excess. 8.Palmer hackle forward and tie off. 9.Pull kiptail over top of hook and tie off over top, then underneath between eye and kiptail tie in point to stand up kiptail butt end (otherwise, difficult to get to hook eye). Wrap back over tie in point, half hitch, whip finish and cement. 10.Cut off excess kiptail. Fly can be tied in differend colors: (Pictures provided by Bob, thanks Bob) | |
