Recipe Hook dry, size 14 and smaller Thread: dark, black, brown or olive Abdomens: Peacock herl WIng: White CDC feather Thorax: Peacock herl Head: fine yellow dubbing and black thread

Tying instructions: Wrap the fly's base to the bend and ty in 2 to 4 peacock herls. Advance the thread to approximately mid-shank. Wrap the herl and secure but do not tie off. Ty in one or two white CDC feathers as wing. Snip of the unneeded but of the feather(s). Advance thread to 1/4 of the shank. Wrap the remaining herl, ty off and trimm. Dub the thread with fine yellow dubbing, form a neat head, whip finish and cement.
